337, exceptional digging depths and long reach in a compact package
- Easy maintenance
- Best in class operator comfort and access
- Outstanding hydraulic performance
- Improved workgroup control and smoothness thanks to excellent spool metering
- Undercarriage with improved ground clearance – tracks with directional lugs
The 337 is a medium excavator in the 3-5 T class.
The appearance and sturdiness are enhanced by the elimination of the removable side panels and tailgate uprights. The entire upper structure is made of 6 mm steel for superior strength in all applications.
Outstanding performances thanks to the upgraded engine V2003 Turbo, faster travel speeds, faster house rotation and smooth work group movements.
This model features a robust tailgate for unmatched engine serviceability and optimum protection of the components in the engine compartment. The right access cover offers quick access to all service points. Greasing points of the swing pinion, swing bearing, and offset cylinder are now in a centralized location to facilitate servicing of these areas.
The travel levers on the 337 are pilot controlled, requiring less effort and offering more controllability.
The operator comfort is improved thanks to the spacious cab.
The instrumentation package, the electronics and automatic shutdown system and the replaceable weld-on cutting edge make the 337 even more reliable.
The hydraulic system has been improved through the implementation of a new piston pump system. The latter allows a more efficient use of engine horsepower and helps improve work group control and smoothness. The 337 hydraulic system has also been simplified while maintaining the load sensing, pressure compensating and torque limiting features found on previous machines.
The undercarriage design provides a better distribution of the loads, improved reliability and service life. The undercarriage width was increases to offer a better side stability while improving the lift chart. Tracks with directional lugs offer less resistance, smoother turning and increased lug height for longer service life.
The 337 offers auxiliary functions on the joystick providing fingertip control of auxiliary hydraulic functions while having detent flow in both directions.
Standard lighting now includes a boom-mounted light and a frame mounted light.
This mid-size compact excavator is compatible with over 15 different attachments.

Strong undercarriage
The undercarriage width has been increased from 1850 mm to 1930 mm to offer a better side stability. This will also improve the lift chart for both model excavators.
This design introduces an inclined surface in the undercarriage as well as self-cleaning tanks. The benefits are:
• Easier and faster cleaning
• The undercarriage sheds mud and debris easier
• Less dirt on the undercarriage
Thanks to this design ground clearance increases from 330.4 mm to 394.8 mm, an increase of 19.5%.
This means:
• Better all-terrain capabilities
• Less risk of getting stuck in soft ground
• Reduced components wear
The approach angle of the 337 is increased from 24°34’ to 25°26’:
• Better all-terrain capabilities
• Easier loading and unloading of the machine
New tracks with directional lugs offer the following advantages:
• Less resistance and smoother turning
• Increased lug height for longer service life
The new undercarriage also incorporates an upper roller instead of sliders to avoid sagging of the tracks and improve service life.
Swing Open Tailgate
The machine features a robust side swing tailgate for unmatched engine serviceability and optimal protection of the components in the engine compartment. The tailgate is made of die formed 6 mm steel eliminating the need for cast counterweights found on competitive excavators
Right Side Access Cover
The fuel fill, control valve and associated plumbing are located on the right side of the machine. These items are quickly accessed by a tip forward access cover that locks open in two positions. The first position is for routine daily maintenance like fuel filling. By removing a stop, the access cover can be opened further for even greater access to hydraulic components.
